We become the legal employer of the roustabouts, operators, inspectors and service crews you put in the field. Weekly W-2 payroll with per diem and rotation pay, DOT and DISA consortium drug testing, workers compensation underwritten for the oilfield, and deployment across Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and every other producing state. Houston office, Gulf Coast roots.
BOOK A CONSULTATIONOil and gas employment runs on a cycle no other industry shares. A price move adds or removes crews in weeks. Work follows the basin, not the company's home state. Rotations, per diem and travel pay make a standard pay week meaningless, and operator safety programs demand testing and training records before a worker clears the gate.
An employer that cannot scale headcount both directions without setup fees, termination fees or a new entity in every state is carrying fixed cost in a variable business. Revelation was built on the Gulf Coast for exactly this cycle: weekly payroll, no fees in either direction, and the ability to employ a crew in a new state within days.
Revelation has an office in Houston and is headquartered in Mobile, with Lafayette, Louisiana opening in 2026. We employ crews across the Permian, Eagle Ford, Haynesville and the Gulf Coast corridor every week.
You decide who works, on which location, under whose supervision. Revelation becomes the legal employer and absorbs every obligation behind that decision.
These are the obligations that separate oilfield employment from desk employment. A single crew mobilization can touch all four.
Paying hands as independent contractors looks cheaper until a Department of Labor audit, an injury with no coverage in force, or a state unemployment claim triggers reclassification. Back taxes, penalties and uncovered claims arrive together, and operators increasingly demand proof of W-2 employment from every service company on location. On an EOR, every worker is W-2 with comp in force, so the exposure does not exist to be found.
Operators run their own qualification programs, and a service company that cannot show current consortium drug testing, training records and safety statistics does not get on the approved vendor list. Revelation enrolls employees in DISA, maintains the records operators ask for, and supports your ISNetworld and Avetta submissions with the employment side of the data.
Oilfield classification codes carry some of the highest workers compensation rates in the country, and the experience modification rate that sits on top of them follows a company for three years. Revelation classifies correctly, manages claims to closure and runs return to work programs to protect the rate that decides what a crew costs to field. See risk and insurance →
Dock work, barge loading, platform service and marine support pull a crew out of state workers compensation and into USL&H and the Jones Act. Most oilfield employers only discover the gap after an injury. Revelation carries USL&H and Maritime Employers Liability alongside its land based coverage. See offshore and marine →
Software led EOR platforms are built to onboard a knowledge worker in a new jurisdiction. The oilfield asks for things their model does not contain.

Upstream, midstream and oilfield services. From the pad to the pipeline to the plant gate.
You own the operator relationship and the invoicing. Revelation runs as your back office employment engine: onboarding, weekly payroll, workers compensation, testing programs, benefits and HR, under white labelled documentation carrying your branding. Built for oilfield staffing firms and service companies that hold the relationships and need compliant employment behind them.
Revelation operates as a full employment partner: contracts, terms, certificates of insurance, client billing and accounts receivable, with consultative support on safety, pricing and contract structure. Built for firms mobilizing for a new program that want the full operational stack and the receivable risk carried for them.
“We believe great partnerships build great businesses, and every relationship we enter is one we invest in for the long term.”
The EOR becomes the legal employer of your field crews. It runs weekly payroll with per diem and rotation pay, withholds and files taxes in every state the crew works, carries workers compensation matched to oilfield classifications, administers benefits, and runs DOT and DISA testing programs. You keep full control of who works, on which location, and under whose supervision.
Yes. Revelation runs weekly payroll built for the oilfield: day rates, 14 and 7 and similar rotations, per diem under accountable plan rules, travel pay, overtime and the multi state withholding that follows a crew from one basin to another.
Yes. Employees are enrolled in consortium testing with pre employment, random and post incident programs administered as part of employment, and records are available to operators and for ISNetworld or Avetta submissions on request.
You scale down. There are no termination fees, no minimums and no entity to unwind. When activity returns, crews can be re employed in days. That is the point of carrying employment on a variable platform in a cyclical business.
Work on piers, barges, platforms or vessels moves out of state workers compensation and into USL&H and the Jones Act. Revelation carries both USL&H and Maritime Employers Liability, so a crew that moves between land and water is covered on both sides of the line.
No. A staffing agency finds and supplies workers. An Employer of Record employs workers you have already identified and carries the payroll, tax, insurance and compliance obligations of employing them. Revelation is an EOR and is often engaged alongside a service company's existing recruiting function.
Tell us the basin, the crews and the rotation. We will walk you through what moves onto us and how fast the first hand can be on location.
