We become the legal employer of the welders, fitters, machinists and fabricators that build structural steel, spools, skids and modules in your shop. Weekly W-2 payroll, welding certification tracking, workers compensation matched to fabrication classifications, and crews that can follow the work from the shop floor to the field without a new entity in between.
BOOK A CONSULTATIONA fab shop lives on backlog. A big award doubles the welding floor for a year; a slow quarter sends it back. Every welder on that floor carries procedure qualifications that expire, every fitter is working to a drawing revision that changes, and the comp classification for a shop that welds, blasts and paints is one of the highest in general industry.
Then the module ships and the same crew goes to the site to set it, often in another state and sometimes on a dock. The employer behind that crew has to scale both directions without fees, keep every certification current, and carry the coverage that follows a welder from the shop to the jobsite to the waterfront. Revelation does all three.
Revelation is headquartered in Mobile, Alabama, with offices in Houston and Pascagoula. We employ fabrication crews that build on the Gulf Coast and ship everywhere.
You decide who works, on which job, under whose supervision. Revelation becomes the legal employer and absorbs every obligation behind that decision.
These are the obligations that separate fabrication employment from desk employment.
ASME and AWS procedures require each welder to hold a current performance qualification per process and position, and most codes expire it after six months without documented use. A customer audit that finds a lapsed welder on a stamped job rejects the work. Revelation tracks qualification dates and continuity records per employee as part of employment.
Welding on stainless and alloy steel triggers OSHA's hexavalent chromium standard, with exposure monitoring, respirator programs and medical surveillance records that follow the worker. Add blasting, coating and crane operations and the shop carries a full general industry safety program. Revelation maintains the employee side of it.
Structural steel fabrication, welding and coating classifications carry some of the highest workers compensation rates in general industry, and one serious incident raises your cost of labour for three years. Revelation classifies correctly, manages claims to closure and runs return to work programs to protect the modification rate. See risk and insurance →
When the crew leaves the shop to set the module, they trigger another state's withholding and comp, and if the site is a dock or terminal, USL&H. Revelation already operates in all 50 states and carries USL&H and MEL, so the same employee is covered in the shop, on the site and on the waterfront. Read the USL&H guide →
Software led EOR platforms are built to onboard a knowledge worker in a new jurisdiction. A welding floor asks for things their model does not contain.

Structural steel, pipe spools, pressure vessels, skids and modules. Shop and field.
You own the customer relationship and the invoicing. Revelation runs as your back office employment engine: onboarding, weekly payroll, workers compensation, certification tracking, benefits and HR, under white labelled documentation carrying your branding. Built for fabrication staffing firms and shops that hold the relationships and need compliant employment behind them.
Revelation operates as a full employment partner: contracts, terms, certificates of insurance, client billing and accounts receivable, with consultative support on safety, pricing and contract structure. Built for firms taking on a larger award than they have run before and want the full operational stack and the receivable risk carried for them.
“We believe great partnerships build great businesses, and every relationship we enter is one we invest in for the long term.”
Clarissa Hamilton, PresidentThe EOR becomes the legal employer of your welders, fitters and shop crew. It runs weekly payroll, withholds and files taxes, carries workers compensation matched to fabrication classifications, administers benefits, and tracks welder qualifications and safety records. You keep full control of who works, on which job, and under whose supervision.
Yes. Qualification dates by process and position, continuity records and renewal windows are tracked per employee, so a lapsed cert does not surface during a customer audit on a stamped job.
Yes. Revelation already operates in all 50 states and carries USL&H and Maritime Employers Liability, so a crew that builds the module in Alabama and sets it on a dock in Louisiana stays on one employer with coverage in force throughout.
You scale down with no termination fees and no entity to unwind. When the next award lands, the same welders can be re employed in days with their qualification records intact.
No. A staffing agency finds and supplies welders. An Employer of Record employs welders you have already identified and carries the payroll, tax, insurance and compliance obligations of employing them. Revelation is an EOR and is often engaged alongside a shop's existing recruiting function.
Tell us the shop, the processes and the backlog. We will walk you through what moves onto us and how the crew follows the work.
